Time To Close Blog
Now that we have a thriving Ravelry page I am going to be closing down the blog. I'll leave it up until March 1st, to give everyone a chance to come find us on Ravelry. Once there you'll be able to keep up with what's new at Lamb's Ear as well as share pictures and details about all your projects. It really is a wonderful place for we knitters/crocheters. You owe it to yourself to take a few minutes to sign up. www.ravelry.com Once you're a member come find us by searching for the Lamb's Ear Yarn social group.
Thanks for your understanding in my decision to close the blog. With my hectic schedule it'll be nice to have one less thing to remember.

And we just got a new shipment of sock yarn, with 10 colors. Just $14 per 100 gram skein. This is all self patterning yarn.

Want A FREE Hat Pattern? Be A Tester.
I need someone to test knit the new Limerick Hat pattern for me. I need someone who is an experienced knitter and who can guarantee they can finish their hat by next Saturday. I’d like to release this pattern for sale as soon as possible so need to hurry and work any bugs out. The pattern is written up and ready to go. I need one more tester. If you’re a fast knitter and you’d like to be one of the first to have a Limerick Hat of your very own, then shoot me an email.

Daily "Open Knitting, 1-3pm
You are welcome to come in “anytime” to get help with a project purchased at Lamb’s Ear, but sometimes you want to sit down and hang out with other like-minded knitters. We already have a thriving Daytime Knitting Group, 1-3pm on Wednesdays, but Wednesday doesn’t work for everyone. So Errol and I would like to invite you to come “sit and knit” daily, from 1 to 3pm. We’ll have the coffee (and tea) ready. Let’s see if we can’t get some daytime groups started on the other 6 days of the week. It may take a while to get them established, so be patient. We hope you’ll come and make Lamb’s Ear your home away from home.
There is no childcare, so please leave the kiddos at home.

CLASSES?
We at Lamb’s Ear do not believe that group classes are in the best interest of our customers. Why? Here are just a few of the reasons:
1. Why should you have to wait until a specific class is offered to learn a technique?
2. Everyone learns at a different rate. In a class setting you may have someone who catches on very quickly and gets frustrated. Likewise you may have someone who needs more individual attention and is getting left behind.
3. If you are already buying your yarn, needles, and patterns from a shop, why should you pay extra for a “class” so you can learn how to use them?
4. If a class needs to be held over several days/weeks, you cannot always make every lesson, and get left behind.
We will help you with whatever you want to learn, whatever you want to knit, whenever you want to do it. This means individual instruction, at your own pace, for FREE!
There are 2 conditions, though, just to keep things fair.
The yarn/materials for the project you are seeking free help with MUST be from Lamb’s Ear (of course).
You must be willing to be patient and let us assist you between waiting on other customers.

NEED BALLWINDER OR SWIFT???
This is a heads up. The prices for ballwinders and swifts will go up significantly as of Sept. 1st. Ball winders will be nearly $10 more...and swifts about $20 more. That's a lot. I have a limited amount of both items in stock so hurry if you've been meaning to add these to your fiber tools.
