Can You Say "Malabrigo"?

If you know what this is, you understand my excitement. If not, you're in for a real treat. I met with the Malabrigo rep today and in 6 to 8 weeks we'll have some of it's fibery goodness arrive at the shop. I'll keep you posted.

Vote With Your Coupon

This is for all of you on the mailing list. The Spring mailer has gone out. Some of you received it today. My question is,"Do you want quarterly mailings or just twice yearly"? I've been putting a coupon on each mailer. Out of 700 mailed last quarter only about 61 coupons came back. I don't know if folks are just tossing them, or what? The thing is...mailing those off is expensive and time consuming. The mailing list is now almost 1000. That's about $300 in stamps alone. Not counting the paper, toner, and 2 days to get it all ready to mail off. I don't mind. I want everyone to get (and use) their coupons. And to keep you updated on the specials, sales, etc...but if no one really cares I'll go to just a twice yearly mailing. So this spring quarter "vote with your coupon". If less than 25% of the coupons come back I'll go to a twice yearly mailing.

Lamb's Ear Yarn on Ravelry

Since I couldn't get ahold of Susan, and I'm anxious to get more information about Lamb's Ear up on Ravelry, I've gone ahead and created a new group called "Lamb's Ear Yarn". I hope you'll come join me there. It's such a fabulous resource. We can post pictures of our projects and share ideas. I'm really excited about it. I found myself with some free time today and decided to make the most of it. Who knows when I'll have another Sunday free? You gotta make hay when the sun shines :-)

We received word that the Koigu we ordered way back in September is being shipped today. I'll post here when it finally arrives from the Great White North. In anticipation of it's imminent arrival we are now stocking some fabulous modular knitting patterns from Heartland Knits. Supply is currently limited so stop in and get yours now. Don't worry, though, we'll be getting more. Thanks to Zach for turning us on to these gorgeous designs. http://web.mac.com/vsever/iWeb/HeartlandKnits/HeartlandKnits.html

Are You Attending the 2008 MADRONA FIBER ARTS WINTER RETREAT?

If so, then we hope you'll make the short trek up the hill to visit Lamb's Ear while you're in Tacoma. We are just a short distance from downtown. Come up the hill, on Pacific Ave., till you hit 48th St. Turn left on 48th and take the next immediate left down the alley. We are the second building down and you can't miss our nice paved parking lot. If you stop in February 14th thru 16th, and you mention the "Winter Retreat", you'll receive 10% off your purchase of regular priced yarns and needles and 5% off everything else. Our prices are already the lowest around so it will be well worth heading up the hill to visit us. Enjoy the retreat and we hope to see you soon.
