Ta da! Here's my finished sweater from the fall quarter's 'Adult Raglan Cardigan' class. There were 4 of us in this knit-along style class...and we all 4 have lovely finished sweaters to show for our effort. If you have trouble finishing large projects a knit-along is definitely the way to go (ask me how I know this). This winter quarter we are featuring a 'Wonderful Wallaby' knit-along. The wallaby is a cute hooded sweatshirt style pullover with a hood. The pattern is sized from 2T all the way up to adult extra large. You can make one for the entire family. The class starts soon so stop by the shop to register. You don't want to miss out. Roxi| 12:05 PM 0 comments

Notice I didn't say ACKrylic. Most of you know that I'm not a huge fan of the acrylic yarns out there. I've stocked Plymouth Encore for years but it has a little wool added to soften the plastICKY feel of the acrylic. Still, some knitters don't want even a small amount of wool in their yarn. I've been on the lookout for an acrylic that I could stock with pride. And I've found it. Boy....have I found it. It's softness rivals that of the most premium merino yarn. No kidding. I am in serious love with this yarn. Want to know what it is? Stop into the shop and I'll introduce you. Here's a pic of a baby onsie that I've begun knitting from this new mystery yarn. Barbara Eagan (mom of channel 5's Chris Eagan) shared this photo of our Daytime Knitting Group which meets Wednesdays, 1-3 (or 5) pm. It's a "photo of a photo" so the quality isn't so great. That's Barb in the green sweater. Lastly, we have a new mascot at the shop who joins Reggie, the wonderYorkie. Meet Purl Bump, the goldfish. I almost forgot to mention that Barb also sent in a blurb from the local paper that mentioned Lamb's Ear. We won't knitpick that they seemed to think we're located in Parkland (???). At least they got the actual address right. Roxi| 3:57 PM 0 comments 1greenEYE Designs |
