Welcome

I'm glad you've made it here, to the Lamb's Ear Update Blog. Please visit often, to keep abreast of all that's new and exciting at Lamb's Ear. I promise to keep this blog up to date, or you can whip me with a wet skein. If you haven't done so already, and you live in the Tacoma Washington area, please email me and ask to be signed up to our quarterly newsletter. The Spring newsletter has already been mailed, but you can still obtain a copy by stopping by the Lamb's Ear Yarn Shop and asking for one : ) The next newsletter will be mailed mid-May.

Here are some new arrivals for this entry. First up, TOFUtsies from SWTC. This is the perfect sock yarn for the spring and summer. Fingering weight, 464 yards, 100g, 50% superwash wool, 25% soysilk, 22.5% cotton, and, get this, 2.5% chiton. What's chiton, you ask. It's a fiber derived from the shells of shrimp and crabs. I know. Ewww! But, trust me, this yarn is wonderful. And the chiton is a natural antibacterial. Here's a little sample sock knit from TOFUtsies:

And here is a very small selection of the colors we have in stock.

There are 2 new additions from Rowan Yarns. First up, Rowan Pure Wool DK. 100% superwash wool, gorgeous colors, 50g, 136 yards. We have 21 colors in stock.

And then there's Rowan Scottish Tweed DK. Imported from England. 100% pure new wool, 50g, 123 yards. We have 18 colors in stock.

And then here's something for the crocheters, this ultra smooth new Palmwood hooks from Laurel Hill. They're imported from Vietnam.

Stop by the shop to see them "in person". We look forward to visiting with you soon.
